For families and professionals who want to build their confidence and skills in supporting autistic and SEND children.
Our Outreach service provides bespoke SEND and behaviour support training for schools, early-years settings, professionals and families. Rather than offering a one-size-fits-all course, we tailor input to the people, setting and outcomes involved. Support can include training, mentoring and practical coaching around communication, visual supports, sensory needs, differentiated learning and behaviour. The aim is confident adults and more capable environments for children with SEND.

This service is primarily for SENCos, school leaders, teachers, LSAs, early-years managers, local-authority teams and other professionals who want practical support to strengthen their provision. It can also support parents where coaching or mentoring would help strategies become more consistent at home. You may be looking for whole-team development, help around a specific child, or guidance after existing approaches have not been effective. We shape the package around that need rather than requiring you to choose a fixed course.
What it involves

We start by clarifying what the setting or family wants to change and what staff already know. Support may then include 1:1 mentoring, group training, observation, child-specific consultation or a combination of these. Topics can include autism awareness, functional communication, visual supports, sensory needs, differentiating learning, Positive Behaviour Support and responding to behaviours of concern. Where work relates to a specific child, recommendations are based on the available information and direct assessment or observation where appropriate. Training is practical and linked to real situations so staff can use strategies immediately. Follow-up coaching or review can be built in to help changes become embedded rather than ending when the training session finishes.
How it’s delivered
Outreach is delivered flexibly to suit the organisation or family. Sessions can be provided to individuals or groups and can be general, role-specific or built around the needs of a particular child. Delivery may take place within the school or setting, through agreed consultation arrangements, or as part of a wider package of mentoring and review. Qualified behaviour analysts lead or oversee the content so recommendations are grounded in evidence-based ABA and Positive Behaviour Support principles. We can work alongside existing school systems and other professionals rather than replacing them. For organisations, the emphasis is on building sustainable staff confidence and capability so improved support continues after our direct involvement reduces.

Qualifications and oversight
Support is delivered by trained practitioners with regular supervision and oversight from qualified behaviour analysts. Oversight includes assessment, programme design, review of data, coaching and changes to teaching strategies when needed. We work within professional standards and keep families and relevant professionals involved in decisions.
